Season finale! – We are Here!
We have arrived at the season 5 finale of The Walking Dead, the most awesome show on cable TV. This is the TV event of the month, because the show has done a wonderful job of creating the illusion of security for Rick and his group while also pumping up the mounting tension and angst as something big lurks in the final episode. The question “Who will die this time?” and when will I be able to update my ultimate dead list??? Everyone’s has their own ideas about the who, but if the last two seasons of The Walking Dead in particular have made anything clear, it’s that this show is doing its best to emphasize that it’s not just about surviving, but about maintaining their humanity. We’ve seen some characters lose it and regain it, some characters waver but refuse to fall, and some go right over the edge, and at this point big moments like this episode are as much about who will keep their soul intact as they are about who will live to see season six.
